Fiona has ten years’ experience in planning, implementing and evaluating initiatives which help to make better use of our existing urban transport networks, with a focus on travel behaviour change, travel planning, walking and cycling.

Fiona is a Geographer by training and joined Steer in 2008. During her time at Steer, she has developed specialisms in multi-modal strategy development, walking and cycling strategies, travel plans, behaviour change interventions and delivery and servicing plans. She led the development of a transport strategy for Hertfordshire County Council, looking ahead to 2050, and in recent years she has produced delivery and servicing plans and strategies for some of London’s busiest and complex sites, including The Shard at London Bridge.

At Steer, Fiona supports our UK planning division with delivery, management and direction of projects which have congestion reduction, air quality and active travel objectives. She is the team manager for the UK sustainable transport team.

We are pleased to have been awarded the contract to manage the FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) standard. For the next five years, we will be working with Transport for London and FORS stakeholders to maintain and evolve the FORS standard and to manage the advisory and working groups that help set the direction for FORS.
